Surgical Sutures
Surgical Sutures – Nylon, Silk, Chromic
Sterile threads used to close wounds or surgical incisions, available in various materials to suit different clinical needs:
Nylon (Polyamide): A non-absorbable, synthetic monofilament suture known for high tensile strength and minimal tissue reactivity. Ideal for skin closures.
Silk: A non-absorbable, natural braided suture offering excellent handling and knot security. Commonly used in soft tissue procedures.
Chromic Catgut: An absorbable, natural suture treated with chromium salts to delay absorption. Used for internal soft tissue closures where long-term support is not required.
